Well done to Ms. Drohan and the members of our school's Green Team who attended the Water Workshop run by Green Schools An Taisce in Wood Quay on February 10th.
Our Green School team are working hard to help increase awareness and reduce consumption of this increasingly scarce resource both at in school and at home. They also organised a 'Walk for Water' which took place on Wednesday 1st of March. An very enjoyable activity today where Mr. Gaughran's 5th class boys did paired reading with the boys in Mr. Flaherty's 1st class.
So popular it will become a regular feature! Room 14 and 17 had an amazing night on Saturday 4th February at the Peace Proms in the RDS. They sang and danced their hearts out and it was a privilege to be a part of such an incredible performance. Well done to everyone.
The boys in Room 17 were given a challenge to build their own Titanic. They had to plan out their design and then build it using any materials they liked. They also had to present them to the class and talk about the process. They turned out absolutely fantastic and they should be very proud of themselves. Room 17 spent a very enjoyable afternoon working with Room 6, helping them to make crosses for St. Brigid’s Day. Ms Moen and Mr Brogan were very impressed.
There are definitely some future teachers in 6th class! |
