Our 5th class pupils enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Custom House Visitor Centre today. They learned the history of the James Gandon designed building, as well as the role it played during the famine, its destruction by fire in 1921 and its later restoration to former glory. A fascinating story that spans 200 years!
