The 6th class boys from rooms 14 and 17 enjoyed a fantastic Easter Bonnet Tea Party today.
The boys showed great imagination and creativity in designing their hats and indeed in making some delicious treats which they all enjoyed! Our 5th class pupils enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Custom House Visitor Centre today. They learned the history of the James Gandon designed building, as well as the role it played during the famine, its destruction by fire in 1921 and its later restoration to former glory. A fascinating story that spans 200 years!
Gaeligeoir na Seachtaine winners pictured above. Saor comhrána maidine as Gaeilge leis na buachaillí i Seomra 18 Ceili Mór Inniu! We had a 'Snuggle Up and Read' theme today to celebrate World Book Day. Boys could wear their PJ's to school and bring in their favourite book. We had lots of activities and competitions. Ms. Keane challenged her boys to create their favourite book character using a potato - we were most impressed by their imaginative creations! We had an impressive array of characters (see our line up below) from Captain Underpants to Winnie the Pooh and Gangsta Granny!
