Our junior classes enjoyed an exciting day trip to Causey Farm and had lots of fun activities - thankfully the rain held off after a drizzly start!
Our 4th, 5th & 6th Class pupils enjoyed a fantastically fun day out in Clara Lara for their school tour. Thanks to all the teachers who organised it.
Thanks to Larkhill and District Credit Union and especially Damian, Lorraine & Jackie, who very kindly arranged an Ice-Cream day for the boys on 24th of June. We have had a long association with the Credit Union who encourage and facilitate a saving scheme for the boys here in the school. They tell us that the boys are very consistent savers and the ice-cream treat was a lovely way to show thanks and encouragement. Saving is a very good habit and the reward is seeing all those 50c and €1 savings accumulate!
The whole school enjoyed a wide variety of activities throughout active week during which the boys learned new skills and showed great team spirit. The week culminated in a very competitive pupil v teacher football match which was greatly enjoyed by players and spectators alike! Huge thanks to Ms. McQuillan for organising it all.
Massive thanks to all our boys and their parents for your great support of our hugely successful cake sale fundraiser. We were so impressed with the skills shown in 'The Great Larkhill Bake Off' which had a huge amount of entries. The task of choosing a winner was a difficult one indeed but after much deliberation Harry in Room 5, Seán in Room 18 and Ryan in Room 14 were deemed worthy winners, each receiving Smyths vouchers - congratulations! Thanks to Ms. Moen and Ms. Corri who organised everything, to Ms. Madden and Ms. Gorman who helped on the day and thanks again to all who baked, bought and donated cakes and goodies! A special mention to the 6th class boys from Room 18 & 19 who worked so hard on the day and well done to our Student Council who came up with the idea for the bake off and helped advertise the event so well. Together with the Jersey Sale, which was organised by Ms. McQuillan, approximately €2,000 was raised which will go towards purchasing resources for school and classrooms. Thank you all again for making the day a great success.
Congratulations to our 2nd class pupils who made their First Holy Communion on 21st of May. A very smart and handsome looking group I'm sure you'll agree!
