Congratulations to the boys in 2nd class who made their First Communion on Saturday 27th of May.
It was a beautiful ceremony, the sun was shining and we think you'll agree they all looked very handsome! Huge thanks to Ms. Kavanagh and Mr. Brogan who prepared the boys so well with lots of practice over the past number of weeks. Thanks also to Ms. Moen and the boys who sang so beautifully in the choir on the day. Fifth and sixth class pupils were delighted to take part in a cycling workshop on Friday run by the Irish centre for cycling as part of Bike Week. Thanks to John McDonald Sports Officer with Dublin City Council Sports & Wellbeing Partnership who arranged it for us.
1st & 2nd class boys enjoyed a fabulous trip to the Botanic Gardens on Wednesday 10th of May. They enjoyed looking at so many different trees, plants and flowers. They also saw ducks squirrels and even a turtle! They were really lucky to have the Dublin Bus Community Bus to take them there and back. It was a great day out!
Congratulations and well done to all the boys who represented our school so well and with great success in the Primary Schools Cross-Country events in Albert College Park on 19th of April. They returned laden down with medals!
The 6th class boys from rooms 14 and 17 enjoyed a fantastic Easter Bonnet Tea Party today.
The boys showed great imagination and creativity in designing their hats and indeed in making some delicious treats which they all enjoyed! Our 5th class pupils enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Custom House Visitor Centre today. They learned the history of the James Gandon designed building, as well as the role it played during the famine, its destruction by fire in 1921 and its later restoration to former glory. A fascinating story that spans 200 years!
